Tennessee’s Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn, who secured a significant reelection victory by nearly 30 points in November, is reportedly contemplating a bid for the governorship of Tennessee. Sources from both Washington, D.C., and Tennessee have indicated to Axios that Blackburn has been actively discussing her potential candidacy for the 2026 gubernatorial race, aiming to succeed the term-limited Governor Bill Lee.
Blackburn, who has served in various capacities including as a state legislator and U.S. congresswoman, has garnered public support from notable conservative figures in Tennessee. Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing and commentator Clay Travis have both expressed their enthusiasm for Blackburn’s potential candidacy. Boreing took to X to state, “I am an enormous fan of my governor Bill Lee. I am also an enormous fan of my senator Marsha Blackburn,” suggesting his support extends to her potential future as governor. Similarly, Travis commented, “She’s been a fabulous senator and Marsha Blackburn will make a great Tennessee governor too.”
In her previous Senate races, Blackburn has demonstrated strong voter support. She first defeated former Democratic Governor Phil Bredesen in 2018 with 54.7% of the vote against his 43.9%. Her 2024 victory was even more pronounced, securing 63.8% against Democratic challenger Gloria Johnson’s 34.2%. On her election night, Blackburn remarked, “This victory tonight really does belong to the people of Tennessee because they’re the ones we’ve listened to, they’re the ones that have shown up at meetings all across this state in each of our 95 counties, and the people of Tennessee have spoken.”
This potential shift from the Senate to the governor’s office would mark a significant transition for Blackburn, who has been a key figure in Tennessee’s political landscape. Her considerations come at a time when political alignment in Tennessee leans solidly Republican, suggesting that the GOP primary could largely determine the state’s next governor.
According to Daily Wire:
Tennessee’s Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn, who was just reelected by nearly 30 points in November, is considering a run for Tennessee governor.
Citing sources in Washington, D.C., and Tennessee, Axios reports that Blackburn was making calls saying she was likely to enter the 2026 gubernatorial race to replace term-limited Governor Bill Lee. Blackburn, a conservative senator and strong ally of President-elect Donald Trump, has been in the Senate since 2019.
Neither Blackburn nor her campaign has publicly confirmed that she will enter the race, but some Republicans have already come out to announce their support for her.
“Senator Blackburn has done an outstanding job as a state senator, U.S. congresswoman, and U.S. Senator,” said Glenn Jacobs, the former WWE wrestler-turned-politician, posted on X. “She would do an equally outstanding job as Governor and would have my full support if that’s what she decides.”
His name had been floated in Republican circles in the state as another potential gubernatorial candidate, but his endorsement of Blackburn signals that he wouldn’t enter the race should Blackburn declare.
Why One Survival Food Company Shines Above the Rest
Let’s be real. “Prepper Food” or “Survival Food” is generally awful. The vast majority of companies that push their cans, bags, or buckets desperately hope that their customers never try them and stick them in the closet or pantry instead. Why? Because if the first time they try them is after the crap hits the fan, they’ll be too shaken to call and complain about the quality.
It’s true. Most long-term storage food is made with the cheapest possible ingredients with limited taste and even less nutritional value. This is why they tout calories so much. Sure, they provide calories but does anyone really want to go into the apocalypse with food their family can’t stand?
This is what prompted the Llewellyns to launch Heaven’s Harvest. They bought survival food from multiple companies and determined they couldn’t imagine being stuck in an extended emergency with such low-quality food. They quickly discovered that freeze drying food for long-term storage doesn’t have to mean sacrificing flavor, consistency, or nutrition.
Their ingredients are all-American. In fact, they’re locally sourced and all-natural! This allows their products to be the highest quality on the market, so good that their customers often break open a bag in a pinch to eat because they want to, not just because they have to due to an emergency.
At Heaven’s Harvest, their only focus is amazing food. They don’t sell bugout bags, solar chargers, or multitools. They have one mission – feeding Americans in times of crisis.
What they DO offer is the ability for people to thrive in times of greatest need. On top of long-term storage food, they offer seeds to help Americans for the truly long-term. They want them to grow their own food if possible which is why they offer only Heirloom, Non-GMO, Non-Hybrid, Open-Pollinated seeds so their customers can build permanent food security on their own property.
