(End of the American Dream)—We haven’t ever seen anything like this before. As we approach the 2024 presidential election, I am extremely alarmed by the apocalyptic language that is being employed by many on the left. They are making all sorts of outrageous claims about how Donald Trump is a “fascist” that will become dictator for life if he wins in 2024. That sort of incendiary language is potentially setting the stage for unprecedented civil unrest.
If Trump actually wins in November 2024, I believe that will be the beginning of a colossal national temper tantrum by those on the left. Instead of inflaming tensions, those in positions of power and influence should be trying to defuse them. Our forefathers established a system in which our national leaders are supposed to be elected freely, fairly and peacefully, and that is the way that it was always supposed to be. But now there are many that are insisting that only one outcome in November 2024 is acceptable.
In a recent editorial for the Washington Post, Robert Kagan boldly declared that there is now “a clear path to dictatorship in the United States”…
Let’s stop the wishful thinking and face the stark reality: There is a clear path to dictatorship in the United States, and it is getting shorter every day. In 13 weeks, Donald Trump will have locked up the Republican nomination. In the RealClearPolitics poll average (for the period from Nov. 9 to 20), Trump leads his nearest competitor by 47 points and leads the rest of the field combined by 27 points. The idea that he is unelectable in the general election is nonsense — he is tied or ahead of President Biden in all the latest polls — stripping other Republican challengers of their own stated reasons for existence. The fact that many Americans might prefer other candidates, much ballyhooed by such political sages as Karl Rove, will soon become irrelevant when millions of Republican voters turn out to choose the person whom no one allegedly wants.
Kagan is married to Victoria Nuland, so he would know something about overthrowing a democratically elected leader and establishing a dictatorship. But to suggest that such a thing might happen in the United States is extremely irresponsible.
If Donald Trump wins in 2024, he would not be a dictator. His victory would represent the will of the American people, and it should be respected. And if the American people willingly choose Joe Biden in 2024, that should be respected too.
Nobody is going to stay in office longer than they are legally permitted to do so, and anyone that suggests otherwise is engaging in extremely inflammatory speculation.
Sadly, we are likely to see so much extremely inflammatory speculation in the days ahead.
The Atlantic is publishing an entire issue dedicated to discussing what will happen “if Trump wins”, and it is absolutely loaded with wild conjecture…
The next Trump presidency will be worse.
For our January/February 2024 issue, @TheAtlantic is closely examining Donald Trump’s 2024 bid for reelection, and the potential ramifications of a second term: https://t.co/8lSX9cjZg6 pic.twitter.com/F0qXTREI2M

One of the articles in that issue actually compares Trump to Adolf Hitler, and it warns that his ideas “contravene basic principles of the Constitution or other bedrock bases of American government”…
“For weeks, Trump has been ramping up his rhetoric,” Nichols wrote. “Early last month, he echoed the vile and obsessively germophobic language of Adolf Hitler by describing immigrants as disease-ridden terrorists and psychiatric patients who are ‘poisoning the blood of our country.’ ” In a separate speech, Trump, Nichols wrote, “melded religious and political rhetoric to aim not at foreign nations or immigrants, but at his fellow citizens. This is when he crossed one of the last remaining lines that separated his usual authoritarian bluster from recognizable fascism.”
Trump’s rhetoric has numbed us in its hyperbole and frequency. As David A. Graham, one of our magazine’s chroniclers of the Trump era, wrote recently, “The former president continues to produce substantive ideas—which is not to say they are wise or prudent, but they are certainly more than gibberish. In fact, much of what Trump is discussing is un-American, not merely in the sense of being antithetical to some imagined national set of mores, but in that his ideas contravene basic principles of the Constitution or other bedrock bases of American government.”
Many on the left that are reading this pablum are buying into it hook, line and sinker.
And even many that are supposed to be “in the middle” are using this sort of explosive language.
For example, Liz Cheney is claiming that if Donald Trump wins in 2024 it “may mean the last election that you ever get to vote in”…
“I think that’s a real problem, and I think that the challenge is to make sure that those people understand and recognize that a Trump vote is not acceptable,” she said. “I hope that there are options and alternatives that reflect the important challenges that we’re facing, and that reflect leadership to meet those challenges, but that choice can never be Donald Trump because a vote for Donald Trump may mean the last election that you ever get to vote in.
“And again, I don’t say that lightly, and I think it’s heartbreaking that that’s where we are, but people have to recognize that a vote for Donald Trump is a vote against the Constitution.”
So let me ask you a question.
If a fascist really did take power in the United States and attempted to set up a dictatorship, how would the American people respond?
Well, right now there are millions upon millions of people on the left that will feel justified in responding the exact same way if Donald Trump wins in 2024.
That is why we should all be deeply concerned about the extreme rhetoric that is being thrown around.
During an interview with Bill Maher, James Carville actually claimed that House Speaker Mike Johnson is a bigger threat than Al-Qaeda…
Democrat strategist James Carville went on an unhinged rant on Bill Maher’s show this weekend and claimed that Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson was a bigger threat than the terrorist group Al-Qaeda.
Bill Maher attacked Mike Johnson as a “Christian Nationalist.”
“Mike Johnson and what he believes is one of the greatest threats we have today to the United States,” Carville told Maher on Friday evening. “I promise you, I know these people.”
What did we do to Al-Qaeda terrorists? During the Bush administration, we sent them to Guantanamo Bay and endlessly waterboarded them.
Is that what Carville would do to his political opponents? This is frightening. These people are stone-cold crazy.
And they have countless followers that are internalizing their beliefs.
Earlier today, I came across a USA Today article about preppers that are anticipating that the 2024 election will cause society to collapse. According to one prepping expert, many on the left really are afraid that Donald Trump is “going to declare himself dictator of the United States”…
“On the left, you have people afraid (Trump’s) going to declare himself dictator of the United States and people on the left are going to end up as targets in some sort of authoritarian system,” said prepping expert and author Brad Garrett.
Once again, that is not going to happen, but this is what these people actually believe.
Another prepping expert ominously warned that many of the left believe that “Trump may bring a New World Order”…
“That’s the impetus for all the preppers I’ve ever dealt with: They saw something and felt the government could not or would not help,” said Chad Huddleston of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, a professor and anthropologist who has studied the prepping community extensively.
Huddleston said it’s important to distinguish between the large numbers of people who consider being prepared for emergencies their civic and family responsibility and those who are, sometimes eagerly, awaiting societal collapse. But he said the number of people deliberately preparing for a crisis tied to a Trump-Biden election is growing.
“On one side, people think Trump may bring a New World Order and ‘they’ will come and get us, so we need to be ready,” he said.
Seriously?
There is so much hysteria out there right now, and the election is still nearly a year away.
So what will things be like once we get very close to November 2024?
I believe that 2024 will be the most chaotic election season we have ever seen, and it will be happening during a year when great chaos will be erupting all over the globe.
So buckle up and hold on tight, because things are about to get really crazy out there.

Starting the Day With a Scripture-Inspired Roast Helps Center Your Thoughts on Eternal Truths Amid Temporal Pressures
The world can seem chaotic, especially right after we wake up. Many believers start their mornings reaching for something familiar — a hot cup of coffee — yet end up settling for mediocre brews that do little more than deliver a caffeine jolt. The daily grind of life, with its endless distractions, news cycles, and responsibilities, can leave even the most faithful feeling spiritually parched alongside their physical fatigue. What if your morning ritual could do more than wake you up? What if it could ground you in truth, nourish your body with exceptional quality, and quietly advance a kingdom purpose at the same time?
That’s the promise — and the reality — behind Promised Grounds Coffee. This Christian-founded company doesn’t just roast beans; it approaches every step as an act of worship and discipleship. By selecting only the top 10% of specialty-grade beans, ethically sourced from dedicated farmers in Central and South America, and small-batch roasting them with reverence in Austin, Texas, Promised Grounds delivers what many describe as the best coffee available — never burnt, never bland, but rich with origin stories and layered flavors that honor God’s creation.
From the vibrant Psalm 27 Roast (a light, bright medium option) to the bold yet peaceful 2 Timothy 1:7 Decaf, each bag carries a Scripture verse that turns your daily pour into a gentle reminder of faith. And through their Ounce Per Ounce Promise, every ounce of coffee you enjoy provides an equal ounce of clean water to families in need via partnership with Filter of Hope — literally brewing hope for body and soul, one cup at a time.
The challenge for today’s Christians runs deeper than finding a decent cup. In an age of convenience-driven consumerism, it’s easy to support companies that dilute values or remain silent on matters of faith. Many believers want their everyday choices — from what they drink to how they spend — to reflect discipleship rather than just convenience. Promised Grounds solves this by weaving Christian excellence into the entire process: beans nurtured with prayerful stewardship by farming families, roasted as an offering rather than a commodity, and packaged with Bible verses to encourage a mindset of gratitude and purpose from the first sip. Reviewers consistently praise the smooth, rich profiles — whether enjoyed black in a drip maker, iced on a warm day, or shared in fellowship — noting how the quality stands toe-to-toe with premium secular brands while delivering something far more meaningful.
This integration of faith and flavor addresses a real need in Christian households and ministries. Busy parents, church leaders, and remote workers alike report that starting the day with a Scripture-inspired roast helps center their thoughts on eternal truths amid temporal pressures. The coffee’s exceptional character — bright citrus notes in lighter roasts or deep chocolate undertones in bolder ones — comes from meticulous selection and careful roasting that respects the bean’s natural gifts rather than masking them. It’s the kind of coffee that elevates a simple quiet time, fuels productive workdays, or sparks meaningful conversations when shared at Bible studies or outreach events. And because it’s ethically sourced with integrity, every purchase supports sustainable livelihoods for farmers who treat their crops like family harvests.
For those leading churches or small groups, the impact multiplies. Promised Grounds offers bundles and options perfect for hospitality ministries, turning ordinary coffee service into an opportunity to point people toward the living water of Christ. Imagine greeting visitors with a warm cup whose very bag carries God’s Word — a subtle yet powerful witness that aligns with the Great Commission. The company’s Texas roots and commitment to “brewing hope” resonate especially with believers who value American enterprise paired with global compassion.
Of course, quality alone isn’t enough if the experience feels out of reach. Promised Grounds keeps it accessible with practical perks like free shipping on orders over $40, sample sets for discovering favorites, and thoughtful add-ons such as faith-themed mugs. Whether you prefer whole beans for fresh grinding, grounds for convenience, or even bulk options for larger households and ministries, the result is consistently superior coffee that makes discipleship feel integrated rather than added on.
As you consider how to align even the smallest habits with your walk with God, Promised Grounds Coffee stands out as a refreshing solution. It tackles the dual problems of subpar daily sustenance and disconnected consumption by offering a product that genuinely excels in taste while advancing a mission of clean water, farmer dignity, and scriptural encouragement. Believers who make the switch often describe it as more than a beverage upgrade — it becomes part of their rhythm of gratitude, a daily invitation to remember that every good gift comes from above.
If you’re ready to transform your mornings (and perhaps your church gatherings) with coffee that honors both exceptional craftsmanship and Christian values, I encourage you to explore what Promised Grounds has to offer. One sip at a time, you’ll be nourishing your body, refreshing your spirit, and participating in something far greater — all while enjoying what truly is among the best coffee available.

I assume they are concerned Trump would do such things as go after his political opponents via the rigged judicial and DOJ system, allow his family to benefit financially from dealings with foreign countries, jail political dissidents, install a media that spews falsehoods in his favors and changes history, dismantles our military and borders, and rules by edict/executive orders to get what he wants. What a terrible thing for our country if that is ever allowed to happen by one proclaimed ruler.
pay no attention to the great first term…..
