With Republicans taking back control of the Senate and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell finally stepping down, three Senators have emerged as possible Majority Leaders.
Two of them are RINOs—John Thune and John Cornyn—while Rick Scott may not have the support to prevent either “McConnell 2.0” from ascending.
Senator Mike Lee has a plan. Well, it’s really just a theory combined with a wish, but it has a lot of conservatives wanting to sprinkle any fairy dust they can find on it so they can make it come true. The “John Adams Plan” would have Vice-President-Elect J.D. Vance ascend to the role of Senate Majority Leader while also fulfilling his duties as President of the Senate.
Crazier ideas have been put forth. Here’s what Senator Lee recently posted on 𝕏:
Here’s the point I was making:
Regardless of who Senate Republicans elect as the new majority leader, @JDVance will be the president of the Senate, and as such will be in a good position to lead the Senate GOP—to whatever extent and in whatever way he chooses to do so
In that respect, @JDVance doesn’t have to run to be the Senate’s GOP leader
He already did
And he won
So regardless of who might become the majority leader—a position we need to fill from among Republican senators—@JDVance could still “pull a John Adams,” and thus become the highest-ranking & most-influential Republican in the Senate
“Constitutional Scholars” have emerged on 𝕏 to try to shoot down the idea but here’s the thing. The Senate Majority Leader isn’t even a Constitutional role. It is part of the Senate’s own internal rules so giving Vance “side job” as Majority Leader while also retaining his VP role as President of the Senate seems viable.
Having the presidency and retaining control of the House are obviously important if we’re to see Donald Trump’s full agenda fulfilled, but handing the reins of the Senate over to Thune or Cornyn will greatly hamper the agenda. Both have interests that are often opposed to the America First policies Trump wants to sign. With a Democrat-leaning Senate map coming up in the midterms, it appears likely that Trump will only have two years to complete his mission unhampered.
Either Thune or Cornyn would hamper that mission.
Senator Lee’s plan is gaining traction among conservative media heavy hitters. Both Charlie Kirk and Glenn Beck endorsed the plan Friday:
A poll posted by Senator Lee on 𝕏 shows Scott as the favorite among the conservative base.
Who would you like to see as the next Senate Republican leader?

Meanwhile, leftist corporate media has been attacking Senator Scott. Axios posted an article Thursday claiming that Trump didn’t feel Scott was a good Senate Majority Leader candidate. It cited anonymous sources, of course, but Google searches for Scott taking the role showed the Axios headline up top. That is often enough to spread a false narrative and damage sentiment toward Scott.
Conservative thought leaders on 𝕏 are lining up behind Scott.
Rick Scott for Leader.

We all need to support Rick Scott (R-FL) for Senate Majority Leader.
Otherwise, it will be a repeat of 2016 & you’ll have Paul Ryan saboteurs.
Call your Senators & tell them they need to vote for Senator Rick Scott.
We also demand a public vote.

Charlie Kirk @charliekirk11 comes out in support of @ScottforFlorida for Senate GOP leader.
The right decision.
I hope President Trump sees that his most vocal supporters all want Rick Scott.
Not for selfish reasons… but to PROTECT Donald Trump from liars and opportunists.… https://t.co/WuTJi5mTSA

Rick Scott for leader.

I support @ScottforFlorida for Senate GOP leader.

Rick Scott would make an excellent Senate Majority Leader. 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/facDvi2LEZ

🚨New: Wisconsin GOP Senator Ron Johnson is calling on President Trump to publicly endorse Rick Scott for Senate Majority Leader.

We desperately need Trump to publicly support Rick Scott for Senate Majority Leader.
If it’s Cornyn or Thune, it’s a continuation of McConnell.
And without Trump’s weight behind Scott, he will not win.
This matters. A lot.

MAGA supports….
Senator @ScottforFlorida @SenRickScott from Florida for Leader of the US Senate. pic.twitter.com/SzOc1wyp3q
— Amy Kremer (@AmyKremer) November 8, 2024
Mr President: Please put your finger on the scale for @rickscott for majority leader in the Senate. If it isn’t him, LETS GET @JDVance to take the position. It will make him a real leader getting things done and your voice in the senate. Together you will get it done.…
— Glenn Beck (@glennbeck) November 8, 2024
We need Rick Scott for Senate Majority Leader
MAGA just swept the country with a mandate
Not the RINO uniparty types like John Thune and John Cornyn
MAGA must be in charge of the Senate https://t.co/IcETlmR05G
— DC_Draino (@DC_Draino) November 7, 2024
Why in the world did Josh Hawley just back John Cornyn for Senate Majority Leader?
Cornyn is one of the absolute worst.
Rick Scott needs to be leader.

President Trump’s first term was subverted by Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan. He will be subverted again if “McConnell 2.0” is running the Senate. J.D. Vance or Rick Scott as Senate Majority Leader would put Trump’s agenda into overdrive.
Three Reasons a Coffee Gift Set From This Christian Company Is Perfect for Christmas
When you’re searching for a Christmas gift that’s meaningful, useful, and rooted in faith, you don’t want to settle for anything generic. This season is filled with noise — mass-produced products, last-minute picks, and trends that fade as quickly as they appear. But one gift stands apart because it blends genuine quality with a message that matters: a coffee gift set from Promised Grounds Coffee.
This small Christian-owned company has become a favorite among believers who want to support faith-driven businesses while giving friends and family something they’ll actually enjoy. Here are three reasons a Promised Grounds Coffee gift set may be the most thoughtful and impactful present you give this year.
1. It’s Truly Delicious Coffee
Too many “gift-worthy” coffees look beautiful in the package but disappoint when the cup is poured. Promised Grounds takes the opposite approach — exceptional taste first, thoughtful presentation second.
Their beans are sourced with care, roasted in small batches, and crafted to bring out a rich, smooth flavor profile that appeals to both casual drinkers and true coffee lovers. Whether someone enjoys bold, dark roasts or lighter, more delicate blends, every sip reflects quality that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the biggest specialty brands.
Simply put: this coffee is good. Really good. Some say it’s absolutely fantastic. If you want a gift that won’t be re-gifted, ignored, or shoved in a cabinet, this is it.
2. It Spreads the Word While Serving a Real Purpose
There are many Christian gifts that are meaningful… but not exactly practical. There are also useful gifts that have nothing to do with faith. Promised Grounds Coffee bridges both worlds beautifully.
Each gift set delivers an encouraging, faith-centered message through its packaging and presentation — a simple but powerful reminder of God’s goodness during the Christmas season. The cups are especially popular and serve as a daily reminder of the blessings from our Lord. At the same time, the product itself is something people will actually use and appreciate every single day.
It’s a gift that uplifts the spirit and fills the mug. A gift that points loved ones toward Scripture while still being part of the normal rhythm of life. And in a culture that increasingly pushes faith to the margins, giving a gift that quietly but confidently honors Christ can make a deeper impact than you might expect.
3. It’s Affordable, Valuable, and Elegantly Presented
Many people want to give something meaningful without breaking their Christmas budget. Promised Grounds Coffee strikes that perfect balance — the sets look and feel premium, but the price remains accessible.
The packaging is classy, clean, and gift-ready, making it ideal for:
- Family members of all ages
- Co-workers or employees
- Church friends or small-group leaders
- Hosts, neighbors, and last-minute gift needs
It’s the kind of gift that feels more expensive than it is — and more thoughtful than most of what you’ll find on store shelves.
The Perfect Blend of Faith, Flavor, and Christmas Cheer
A coffee gift set from Promised Grounds Coffee checks every box: a gift that tastes amazing, conveys your faith, supports a Christian business, and brings daily enjoyment to the person who receives it. In a season when so many gifts are forgotten, this one stands out for all the right reasons.
If you want a Christmas present that reflects your values and delivers genuine joy, Promised Grounds Coffee is the perfect place to start.

I’d be careful about this line of reasoning.
Imagine if we had this in place when Harris was VP – how devastating the last four years could have REALLY been. Or when Biden was VP during the Obama years…we’d have bypassed WWIII and jumped right into WWIV.
No, having the VP serve as Senate Leader (majority or minority) in addition to Senate President is a bad idea in today’s version of parties and politics.
Best to require actual term limits (not just implied ones through the biennial or sexennial elections) to give THE PEOPLE more control over government, and revert government along with its bureaucracy and internal structure to the limited power they’re Constitutionally supposed to have. This way the House and Senate “leaders” will change more regularly instead of being “party boss” positions of power operating in the halls of government.
I don’t want to go off the deep end here, but J.D. Vance is starting to remind a little bit of Teddy Roosevelt! And that’s a beautiful thing!
Great idea! Cornyn is my Senator and he is a total turd.
Rick Scott is also a RINO, he always has been since he entered the political arena.
In fact the last positive note I’ve been able to find about Scott was his Service in the USN where he mustered out an E4.
After which he somehow managed to find a very favorable livestream to swim in , good on and for him.
But considering who’s pushing him for the position of Senate Majority leader, no thanks.
Rand Paul or Ted Cruz, both though somewhat compromised have less baggage than Scott.
And neither Rand Paul or Ted Cruz have an ice cube’s chance in Hades of winning. Go for the possible, not the fantasy. Scott is the best of three bad choices. As so often happens in today’s politics.
On the agenda –
Tell Schumer to stop the hatred and dump the snark or be censured
Trash any House bills sponsored by Pelosi or the squad
Order Warren to stop the Indian princess routine
Put Fetterman in his office with a Rubic’s Cube and a stack of comic books
Fund the border wall
What kind of gibberish is this?
If the media is for any Republican politician, it is because he works more for the Democrats and is inherently opposed to anything that benefits the USA.
Given that 75% of Americans took the Death Jabs, and almost half of Americans voted for the commie chick, I am pessimistic about the new Senate leader.
Great idea!
It will also prime J.D. for the presidential election in 2028, when he will continue to make America great again.
We cannot tolerate establishment RINOs like John Cornyn stabbing President Trump and Republican voters in the back!
It’s a pipe dream. Even if Vance were on board he would need 51 Senate votes (which he wouldn’t have) to be anything but a token President of the Senate.
The power of the President of the Senate is set out in the “Rules of the Senate”. Those Rules are voted upon by all 100 Senators at the start of each new Congress.
Yes, if the GOP Senators were all on the same page it could happen (and would give Trump immense power). But Senators like Romney, McConnell, and the liberal girls from Maine and Alaska would shoot it down immediately. And, it almost goes without saying, Cornyn and Thune would be dead set against it.
But one has to wonder why a non-starter like this is even floated. If it’s simply to open up an alternative to Cornyn the. maybe it makes sense. Otherwise its crazy.
