A volunteer radio host at WUML (University of Massachusetts Lowell’s publicly funded station) has resigned after making a blatant public death threat against Vice President JD Vance.
The threatening post on Bluesky read simply: “It’s simple, we kill JD Vance,” in direct reply to a discussion about Vance’s foreign policy views.

Campus police, the FBI, and the Secret Service immediately launched an investigation, though officials stated there was no credible or imminent threat to Vance’s safety.
The university condemned the post, stating that such violent rhetoric is completely incompatible with democratic principles and public safety.
The offending message was deleted shortly after it was posted, and the host voluntarily stepped down from his unpaid position.
