Poll: 4 in 10 View Communists in U.S. as Posing Major or Moderate Threat

• A majority of Republicans—64 percent—see communists as at least a moderate threat, including 34 percent who call it a major threat.
• Among independents, 15 percent view the threat as major and 25 percent as moderate; among Democrats, only 7 percent see it as major and 22 percent as moderate, while 50 percent say communists pose no threat whatsoever.
• President Trump has repeatedly warned against the infiltration of communism, stating on Independence Day that American warriors did not fight communism abroad only to see it return at home.
• In an exclusive Oval Office interview with Breitbart, Trump said the Democratic Party’s hard left turn is dangerous because history shows that systems of “give away everything” always end in “squalor, crime, and death.”
