The position of White House Press Secretary can’t be a heck of a lot of fun. You’re dealing with uncomfortable questions from people who would love to see you stumble and fail – unless you’re in a Democrat administration. But a good Press Secretary has to be bright, well-informed, and able to think on their feet. I’ve seen a few of these people in operation, beginning with Ron Ziegler. I’ve seen some good ones and some bad ones. Tony Snow was a good one. Sarah Huckabee Sanders was a good one. NewsBusters Managing Editor Curtis Houck concurred, adding “I fully anticipate someone will hire her as a contributor, whether it be a return to MSNBC or even CNN.”

Jean-Pierre’s predecessor, Jen Psaki, jumped ship in 2022, leaving the Biden White House to host her own show “Inside with Jen Psaki” on MSNBC.

MSNBC? That’s an interesting notion. As I mentioned, she’s not really qualified to be press secretary; she’s dishonest, inarticulate, and thin-skinned. But MSNBC? Heck, she’s overqualified, if their current talent pool is any indication. […]
