Christian and Conservative news hand-curated the way it’s supposed to be. Stay full-MAGA despite the so-called “civil war” waged by the Islam-loving “woke right”.

In this The Daily Wire article, Jacob Wheeler reports that nearly half of Generation Z adults say Christian support for President Donald Trump makes them less likely to attend church, exposing a sharp political barrier that is keeping many young people out of the pews.

  • A survey of 2,365 Gen Z adults ages 18 to 28, led by Rick Richardson of Wheaton College, found that 48% say Christian support for Trump makes them less likely to attend church services.
  • Nearly one in five respondents strongly agreed that Christians’ backing of the president discourages them from going to church.
  • Among Gen Z Democrats, 67% agreed to some degree that the Christian-Trump alliance turns them away from church, while 74% of Gen Z Republicans disagreed.
  • 72% of Gen Z atheists and 65% of agnostics said Christians’ support for Trump has made them less likely to attend a church service.
  • Even among young people who identify as Christian, significant shares were turned off: 44% of generic Christians, 42% of Catholics, and 30% of Protestants.
  • White evangelicals gave Trump 82% of their vote in 2024, and Catholics shifted decisively in his favor with nearly 60% support after narrowly backing Joe Biden in 2020.
  • Despite the political friction, a recent Gallup survey showed 42% of men aged 18 to 29 now say religion is “very important” in their lives, a 14-point jump from two years earlier and the largest increase of any demographic group.
  • A May Pew Research poll found 37% of U.S. adults believe religion is gaining influence in America, the highest share since 2002.
  • Vice President JD Vance pointed to the rising religiosity among young Americans as evidence that faith is returning, offering hope for meaning, authority, and closeness with God.
