- His fingerprint was found on one message, while key card records placed him entering buildings before 16 of 18 incidents, and surveillance captured him near restrooms shortly before discoveries.
- The threats, spanning October 2024 to May 2025, prompted emergency alerts, class cancellations, online shifts, and widespread fear, turning campus buildings into “ghost towns” on predicted attack dates.
- University police documented the hateful writings in men’s and gender-neutral bathrooms, causing numerous fearful calls from students and staff.
- Fang was arrested and made his initial federal court appearance on July 10; he remains in custody facing charges of false information and hoaxes.
