Come and Take It

Texas to Biden on Gun Control: ‘Come and Take It’

Editor’s Commentary: Texas is leading the way in the push for the most important tool states SHOULD possess: nullification. I say they SHOULD possess it because it’s never been properly used. In theory, the states formed the compact to empower the federal government and therefore should be the ultimate arbiters of laws that break the Constitution. It’s never been played out properly, but we may finally see it working if enough states push back against the Biden-Harris regime’s attacks on the 2nd Amendment.

In this article by Bob Unruh at WND, we learn that the GOP in Texas intends to oppose any future attacks against the 2nd Amendment by invoking nullification. If it comes to pass, there will be a massive fight over it in the courts and the Supreme Court will ultimately decide. I’m very hopeful this happens because for the first time in decades, we have a Supreme Court that might actually side with the states for once. Here are the details from Bob Unruh:

Republicans in Texas have a message for Joe Biden in response to his demands that many weapons be banned.

“Come and take it.”

For those who are not familiar with Texas history, a report in the Center Square adds some detail:

“The phrase is known to Texans as the rallying cry that sparked the Texas Revolution on Oct. 2, 1835, in Gonzalez, Texas. The Mexican Army attempted to take a small cannon that was largely ineffective but used as a scare tactic to thwart Comanche raids and Texans weren’t giving it up without a fight. Their fight ultimately ended in an 18-minute battle in San Jacinto on April 21, 1836.”

The newest response from the Texas party is to Biden’s continuing vows to ban so-called “assault rifles.”

He recently said, on social media, “It’s time we ban assault weapons in this country.”

To which the party says, “Come and Take It.”

The Texas legislature just recently passed a permitless carry bill, and Gov. Greg Abbott promptly signed it. The Texas GOP’s platform also suggests that the state legislature and Congress to repeal and/or nullify the National Firearms Act of 1934 and the Gun Control Act of 1968.

The report explained the party also passed unrestricted Constitutional Carry by amending the Texas Constitution; supports nullifying any gun laws that violate the Second Amendment or rights of due process; supports national reciprocity for gun ownership rights; supports recognizing the right of License to Carry holders to carry anywhere that off-duty or retired law enforcement can carry, among other measures.

WND reported only a day earlier that Biden repeatedly has claimed that AR-15 rifles need to be banned in America – part of his gun control agenda – because “the bullet out of an AR-15 travels five times as rapidly as a bullet shot out of any other gun.”

But it turns out that like his wild and false claim that certain weapons were banned from private ownership at the ratification of the Second Amendment, he’s wrong about this too. A Field & Stream study on the “Five Fastest Rifle Cartridges,” in fact, listed five products.

They include the .220 Swift, a 40-grain round that moves at about 4,300 feet per second. For the AR bullet to be five times faster, it would have to travel four miles – in a second. At the rate of 240 miles in a minute. More than 14,000 miles an hour.

Also ranked was the .257 Weatherby Magnum, which moves at about 3,700 fps, the .30/378 Weatherby, at about 3,400 fps, the .224 Clark, at about 3,500 fps, and the .22 Eargesplitten Loudenboomer, and about 4,600 fps.

“AR-15 rounds move at approximately 2,700-3,100 fps. Even handgun bullets can reportedly reach around 2,000 fps (though that is rare),” reported legal commentator Jonathan Turley in an article about Biden’s inaccuracies.

He explained, “Conservative and gun rights publications have repeatedly shot down that claim but it does not seem to have any impact. As with Biden’s false claim that certain weapons were banned from private ownership at the ratification of the Second Amendment, the president continues to make the same false claim on velocity…”

The column pointed out that “even the Washington Post has called Biden’s repeated velocity claim ‘bungled’ and factually incorrect,” and the AR-15 is only slightly faster than most hunting rifles.

He opined, “Those false statements can be dismissed as just another gaffe or ‘Corn Pop’ story, but they refer to the factual foundation for gun control under the Second Amendment. Since President Biden is suggesting that such facts are material to a ban, there is a need for accuracy in such details,” he wrote.

Incidentally, Biden also has claimed that a “.22-caliber bullet will lodge in the lung, and we can probably get it out — may be able to get it and save the life. A 9mm bullet blows the lung out of the body.”

Three Reasons a Coffee Gift Set From This Christian Company Is Perfect for Christmas

Promised Grounds Gift Pack

When you’re searching for a Christmas gift that’s meaningful, useful, and rooted in faith, you don’t want to settle for anything generic. This season is filled with noise — mass-produced products, last-minute picks, and trends that fade as quickly as they appear. But one gift stands apart because it blends genuine quality with a message that matters: a coffee gift set from Promised Grounds Coffee.

This small Christian-owned company has become a favorite among believers who want to support faith-driven businesses while giving friends and family something they’ll actually enjoy. Here are three reasons a Promised Grounds Coffee gift set may be the most thoughtful and impactful present you give this year.

1. It’s Truly Delicious Coffee

Too many “gift-worthy” coffees look beautiful in the package but disappoint when the cup is poured. Promised Grounds takes the opposite approach — exceptional taste first, thoughtful presentation second.

Their beans are sourced with care, roasted in small batches, and crafted to bring out a rich, smooth flavor profile that appeals to both casual drinkers and true coffee lovers. Whether someone enjoys bold, dark roasts or lighter, more delicate blends, every sip reflects quality that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the biggest specialty brands.

Simply put: this coffee is good. Really good. Some say it’s absolutely fantastic. If you want a gift that won’t be re-gifted, ignored, or shoved in a cabinet, this is it.

2. It Spreads the Word While Serving a Real Purpose

There are many Christian gifts that are meaningful… but not exactly practical. There are also useful gifts that have nothing to do with faith. Promised Grounds Coffee bridges both worlds beautifully.

Each gift set delivers an encouraging, faith-centered message through its packaging and presentation — a simple but powerful reminder of God’s goodness during the Christmas season. The cups are especially popular and serve as a daily reminder of the blessings from our Lord. At the same time, the product itself is something people will actually use and appreciate every single day.

It’s a gift that uplifts the spirit and fills the mug. A gift that points loved ones toward Scripture while still being part of the normal rhythm of life. And in a culture that increasingly pushes faith to the margins, giving a gift that quietly but confidently honors Christ can make a deeper impact than you might expect.

3. It’s Affordable, Valuable, and Elegantly Presented

Many people want to give something meaningful without breaking their Christmas budget. Promised Grounds Coffee strikes that perfect balance — the sets look and feel premium, but the price remains accessible.

The packaging is classy, clean, and gift-ready, making it ideal for:

  • Family members of all ages
  • Co-workers or employees
  • Church friends or small-group leaders
  • Hosts, neighbors, and last-minute gift needs

It’s the kind of gift that feels more expensive than it is — and more thoughtful than most of what you’ll find on store shelves.

The Perfect Blend of Faith, Flavor, and Christmas Cheer

A coffee gift set from Promised Grounds Coffee checks every box: a gift that tastes amazing, conveys your faith, supports a Christian business, and brings daily enjoyment to the person who receives it. In a season when so many gifts are forgotten, this one stands out for all the right reasons.

If you want a Christmas present that reflects your values and delivers genuine joy, Promised Grounds Coffee is the perfect place to start.

Joe is an idiot who knows nothing about firearms or ballistics, and he’s likely not the same Joe as in 2009, but that dummy wasn’t any smarter. May all enjoy their evening under the illusion.

They’re not for hunting, dumbass. They’re for shooting the enemies of our nation. Wonder why that makes the (((deep state))) and their puppets nervous.
