A recent national poll revealed that 59 percent of registered voters would support a federal ban on surgical and chemical transition care for minors.
The poll was commissioned by The Center Square and conducted by market research firm Noble Predictive Insights. It found that, if the federal government passed such a ban, it would have the support of 36 percent of Democrats, 56 percent of independents and 82 percent of Republicans.
The majority of both sexes also would also support a federal ban on transgender procedures for minors, with 63 percent of men and 56 percent of women backing it.
In terms of races, 63 percent of “others” support the ban compared to 61 percent of White and 46 percent of Black registered voters.
Among age demographics, the groups most in favor of a federal ban were the 45 to 54 and 54 to 65 age groups, both of which said 61 percent of them would support it. The 18 to 34 age group were the least in favor, with 52 percent supporting a ban on such procedures for minors. […]
