A suspect decked out in a FedEx uniform was arrested for smuggling illegal aliens in a ‘cloned’ cargo truck in California, authorities say.
The incident unfolded near San Diego last month, but U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) just released details about the bust.

On Dec. 17, USBP agents working Campo Station observed a suspicious vehicle near Highway 94 bearing logos falsely representing the well-known logistics company and initiated a stop.
“A vehicle stop of the van resulted in the app of the driver wearing a FedEx uniform, along with 9 others who were illegally present in the US,” San Diego Sector Chief Patricia D. McGurk-Daniel explained in a statement.
Border Patrol Agents from San Diego recently foiled a human smuggling event involving a cloned FedEx van. A vehicle stop of the van resulted in the app of the driver wearing a FedEx uniform, along with 9 others who were illegally present in the US.
