Elon Musk has accused the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) of hindering SpaceX’s relief efforts in North Carolina following recent natural disasters.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Musk shared a message from a SpaceX engineer, who alleged that FEMA was blocking shipments of Starlink units and other supplies intended to assist disaster-stricken areas.

Musk, CEO of SpaceX, quoted the engineer in his post, stating, “FEMA is not merely failing to help but is actively blocking citizens who try to help!”
According to the message, SpaceX had deployed over 300 Starlink units, which had already restored internet access in affected regions and saved lives. However, further shipments of the Starlink units were reportedly being delayed by FEMA until local authorities provided an escort.
