CNN was broadcasting Donald Trump’s Tuesday address at his Mar-a-Lago resort, but the network cut its feed right before the former president brought in a mother whose child was allegedly murdered by an illegal immigrant.
In the video clip, which Explain America host Carmine Sabia posted online, Trump criticizes Vice President Kamala Harris for her poor track record in resolving the border crisis after President Joe Biden gave her the assignment shortly after the two of them took office.
Trump made mention of Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old North Houston girl who was allegedly the victim of sexual assault and murder by two illegal Venezuelan immigrants, at one point. Trump also played a campaign video featuring Jocylyn’s mother, Alexis Nungaray, talking about the day she learned of her daughter’s death while going on to place the blame squarely on Harris.
Police have arrested Johan Martinez-Rangel and Franklin Peña in connection with the murder. Jocelyn’s hands and feet were bound and she was found in a creek strangled to death.
