Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has denied reports of a planned presidential campaign launch.
His remarks follow reports from NBC News and Bloomberg indicating that the Florida governor was preparing to announce his campaign in mid-May and early June, respectively.
“If there’s any announcements, those will come at the appropriate time,” the governor said Thursday during a visit to Israel, according to The Hill. “But if anyone’s telling you that somehow they know this or they know that, that’s just inaccurate because there’s not been any decisions made.”
DeSantis currently stands as the second place contender for the Republican nomination in most polls, should he opt to join the race.
