Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has finally broken his silence on his much anticipated potential 2024 presidential run, giving an interview from the governor’s mansion in which he said that he has what it takes to be president and “I can beat Biden.”
DeSantis sat down with Piers Morgan in a wide-ranging interview, saying “stay tuned” when asked about the potential 2024 bid for the GOP nomination. Former President Donald Trump is currently the front-runner for that spot, as he endeavors to earn his second term.
“It was clear that the governor has had enough of Trump’s constant baiting and felt ready to take him on in what could end up being a ferocious battle for the White House,” Morgan said, writing about the interview for the New York Post .

If he is the nominee, he will need every, single Trump/MAGA vote in order to even possibly win.

DeSantis actually ruined his chances of being elected by his trashing of Trump. While others don’t know it – Floridians know that without Trump’s help and support DeSantis would never have been elected governor in 2018. 5 years later, DeSantis has the opportunity to return the favor to Trump. DeSantis trashes the president, instead. I despise people who do that. If you will stomp on the person who helped put you where you are today, you’ll screw anyone over. They are disloyal, lacking in integrity and cannot be trusted.
Add to that, DeSantis just started a 2nd term as governor. He assured everyone his interest was governing FL. It looks like it was his interest so he could use it to run for the presidency but still keep his job if he loses (although laws have to be changed so he can do that. With a republican majority – you know it will pass.) I would have supported and voted for DeSantis in 2028. He’ll never get another vote from me now.
